Marathon "Runatolia", an international competition held every spring in Antalya, Turkey, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. They include a race on the main marathon distance, a half marathon and race for 10 kilometers. Participating in the marathon in Antalya is not only prestigious, but also a test of one's strength, an opportunity to visit new places, get to know the history of the city, exchange useful experience with fellow athletes and just have a good time in a circle of like-minded people.

History
Runatolia (Uluslararası Runatolia Antalya Maraton, International Runatolia Antalya Marathon (official names)) begins its countdown from 2006. Since then, the number of participants and the importance of the sports event has been constantly increasing. For comparison, in 2006, 351 athletes took part in the race, and already in 2020, the marathon gathered more than 7,000 athletes. It is now number 2 in Turkey after Istanbul Marathon.
For participation in the marathon "Runatolia" must be registered in advance on the official website runatolia.com and pay the registration fee, which ranges from 10 to 18 euros depending on the chosen discipline and time of registration. Upon arrival at the venue, each participant receives a starting package with his own number, timing chip, branded t-shirt, commemorative awards and souvenirs.

The organizers took care marathon in Antalya and about other important details such as free lockers, showers, medical assistance if needed, changing rooms, massage after the finish, etc. At the end of the competition, each participant will be treated to refreshments, prizes, medals, as well as a commemorative photo and a pasta party.
Route
Marathon route in Antalya compiled according to the principle of going back and forth. It runs along a well-paved AIMS-certified track, through the streets and parks of Antalya, past the triumphal arch of the Andrian Gate, near Dudenki Waterfalls and Lara Beach.

The start and finish of the marathon are located at the same point - near the Sabanci Glass Pyramid exhibition complex (Cam Piramit Sabancı Kongre ve Fuar Merkezi, Meltem, Sakıp Sabancı Blv. No:9, 07030 Muratpaşa, Antalya) in the Culture and Recreation Park named after Ataturk. Marathon route is well marked and has numerous hydration and food stations every 2.5 kilometers. There, the organizers offer athletes water, isotonic drinks, fruits, and wet sponges.
