“Marathon Malaga” - an annual marathon held in December on the streets of the Spanish city of Malaga. The competition consists of two races, the main distance "Marathon Malaga" (marathon) and the satellite race "Media Maratona" (half marathon of 21 kilometers). Each participant has the opportunity to choose one of the disciplines.

History
Marathon in Malaga held in the heart of the Costa del Sol since 2009. The Malaga Marathon was recently awarded the Road Races Bronze Label by the IAAF. All those wishing to take part in the race have the opportunity to submit their application online on the official website of the event. At the same time, it is necessary to pay a registration fee in the amount of €25 (marathon) and €15 (half-marathon), depending on the participant's registration date.
Route
The route of the "Marathon Malaga" race runs through the city of Malaga past its main attractions, through the historic center and along the promenade of the Mediterranean coast of the Costa del Sol (Costa del Sol), crosses the Guadalmedina River several times. The marathon course is completely paved and flat with small climbs at the beginning and end of the course. Along the entire distance, there are hydration points every 5 kilometers. The marathon route follows the rules of the IAAF and RFEA races, is integrated into the AIMS calendar and is well marked.
Start of the marathon and half-marathon race, as well as the finish line are located on Paseo del Parque in Málaga Park (Parque de Málaga). The start of all participants, both the main and satellite races, takes place simultaneously in the same starting corridor.
