Among such competitions, there are very popular ones in sports circles, in which every athlete dreams of participating. Personally, I got acquainted with European marathons in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, in 2019, when he took part in a local marathon.

Secondly, the marathon in the German capital has the World Athletics Elite Platinum Label Race, it is a member of the German Road Races”. Every year, more than 50 thousand athletes from all over the world take part in it, and 7 world records have been set. The Berlin Marathon always takes place on the last Saturday and Sunday of September. To apply for participation in the race, you need to register on the official website of the marathon. Since there are always more applicants than the marathon organizers can handle, the participants are selected through a lottery. That is, among all the athletes registered on the site, the system randomly selects those who will actually take part in the marathon. The marathon route starts and ends in Tiergarten Park. It passes by the sights of Berlin: Brandenburg Gate, Victory Column, Memorial to the Fallen Soldiers, etc.
