History
“Cracovia Half Marathon” takes place every year at the end of the running season in the city of Krakow, since 2014. In the very first year, it received the title "Event of the Year". The half-marathon is part of the Krakow race series “Royal Running Triad”, as well as the national Polish series of half-marathons "Crown of Polish Half Marathon". This is Poland's top half marathon. Every year, it gathers thousands of participants, including not only Poles, but also athletes from many other countries of the world.
Route
Half marathon route in Krakow is a well-paved track with small sections of cobblestones and minor climbs. It runs through the picturesque streets of Krakow, so every athlete has the opportunity not only to enjoy participating in the race, but also to admire the main sights and architecture of the old city. The start and finish are in the same place - at "TAURON Arenie Krakow".
The half marathon route in Krakow is well marked and has a PLZA certificate. The organizers also provided several hydration points (at the 5, 10 and 15 kilometer mark) and refreshment points (at the 7.5, 12.5 and 17.5 kilometer mark) throughout the entire distance. Upon arrival at the competition, each athlete receives a start pack with his own number, timing chip, branded t-shirt, souvenirs, medals and a diploma. Volunteers are constantly present on the track, who help in every possible way not to lose their way, as well as medics, security, etc.
