Obviously from the name that half marathon - is a run for a distance that is half less than the marathon, ie, to be exact, is 21 kilometers and 97.5 meters. Usually half marathon route runs along the highway. However, there are also trail races with a distance of 21 kilometers, but they are not taken into account in the bit standards. The approximate time for which an amateur athlete can cover this distance is from 2 to 1 hour and 30-10 minutes, of course, if you do not take into account the records set by professionals.
Half marathon, like any discipline of long-distance running requires strength and endurance. Therefore, it can be overcome only by a well-trained athlete, not a beginner. The vast majority of training should consist of slow running, when the athlete's heart rate does not exceed 120-145 beats per minute and strength training. After that, you can move on to work on the endurance of your body.
