“Bila Tserkva Marathon" - this race of 42.195 kilometers, which takes place every October in the town of Bila Tserkva, has a rather interesting history. History
The first edition of the Bilotserk Marathon took place during Soviet times in 1986, at the initiative of the outstanding coach Georgy Trofymenko. Then the athletes ran along a 10-kilometer circle of the central avenue of the city. After the collapse of the USSR, it is a tradition to hold sports marathon in Bila Tserkva was interrupted in 1991 and was restored only in 2008. The updated marathon route also passed through the central avenue of the city and was 1/8 of the marathon distance. She immediately received a certificate from the International Federation of Athletics, thus declaring her highest speed qualities. A 21- and 10-kilometer race is also held as part of the Bilotserk Marathon.
Registration for the running event "Bila Tserkva Marathon" takes place online on the official web page of the event. To do this, it is necessary to fill in personal data and pay the registration fee, the amount of which is from 500 hryvnias and depends on the chosen distance and the time of submitting the application. All athletes upon arrival at the starting town must receive their starting packages with their own numbers and commemorative medals and diplomas at the end of the race. Prize-winners usually also receive cash prizes.
Route
Marathon route is a well-paved road that runs along the central boulevard of the city of Oleksandriyskyi to Nebesnaya Hundred Street. Accordingly, on the day of the competition, the movement of motor vehicles is restricted on it for the safety of the participants of the sports event. Athletes start in Oleksandriysky Park, and finish near the Ros Hotel. Thus, the route is almost circular.

There are numerous hydration points on the marathon route, where you can refuel with water, isotonic drinks or fruit. The time limit for overcoming the marathon distance is 4 hours and 30 minutes.
